This one-hour class reviews the definitions of speech, language and communication as well as typical language development from birth to five. In addition, it discusses how knowledge of typical development of vocabulary, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics can be applied to augmentative/alternative communication (AAC). Practical exercises and examples of AAC systems from PRC and Saltillo will be used throughout the training.
