Metacognitive thinking abilities allow individuals to engage their executive functioning skills for social and academic success. Participants in this webinar explored metacognition and executive functioning as they relate to success in therapy, and added to their toolboxes of strategies to support students’ development of self-regulation and strategic thinking.

  2. identify and implement at least two appropriate strategies to support a student’s impulse self-regulation skills.

15-45 minutes: Strategies to support impulse inhibition
45-65 minutes: Strategies to support strategic thinking
65-85 minutes: Strategies to support following a plan
