Tell-A Me About Tele-Therapy - From A to Z
Numerous websites offer Teletherapy opportunities, but what do you need to know before becoming a Speech/Language Teletherapist? Various facets of teletherapy: equipment, licensure, HIPPA-compliance, and materials are explained in detail. After completing this course, attendees will have the necessary information to genuinely consider becoming a Teletherapist.
I am a mother of two (now adult-) children and a credentialed/licensed, practicing Speech/Language Pathologist for almost 30 years! I have worked in schools for 25 of those years spending the last 4 years working virtually to provide Speech/Language therapy services from my home. As I have contracted with multiple teletherapy companies over the years, I developed a list of qualities that, in my professional opinion, can make-or-break a teletherapy program. That is what led me to begin my teletherapy consulting business: training teletherapists, assisting SLPs develop their own private teletherapy practice, and consulting with a corporate staffing agency to build a teletherapy program from the bottom up. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise with you. Welcome to the exciting and ever-growing frontier of "Teletherapy!"
