I like how you frequently embedded research into your presentation. The idea that disclosure should never be an apology is also great. Thanks!

Loved the suggestions for therapy ideas with fluency. I find that I have a hard time finding appropriate activities for them to focus on therapy-especially getting them to talk about their fluencies/dysfluencies. The presentation in itself, however, was rushed; I'm not sure if she was nervous, but the information flew by, so I may need to listen a couple times to get it all. That said, I still enjoyed the presentation with all the information provided, thank you!

Thank you for this presentation. I did not have a very good instructor during my graduate program--it was VERY painful and useless. I was VERY excited to see that you were presenting during the Summit. I will have at least 2 students that stutter on my caseload this year. You have helped put me at ease. Thanks.

Excellent. I am one of those SLP's who does not feel extremely comfortable with fluency issues. I think you nailed it in the presentation, not enough classes in grad school and there just is not a high population of stutterers on one caseload. Thanks for the good info. I will feel a bit more comfortable now that I have some good tools with which to work.

Great presentation! I loved that we had time to answer questions at the end. I think that was great feedback to add into your presentation for next time. Great ideas for therapy activities. I would have appreciated examples on measurable goals and when you determine to discharge from caseload. Also, many of us had a question about training breath control, but I will email and/or post on the facebook page. Thank you so much for your time and sharing your experience!
