Selecting and utilizing therapy tools is an important skill for speech-language pathologists working with preschool children. This course reviewed the stages of play, how to analyze a resource to make decisions about how to use it in therapy based upon a child’s stage of play, disability characteristics, and targeted goals. Examples demonstrated how to use a single toy in multiple ways.
